Halong Bay and Sapa are always the most attractive sites to travelers to Vietnam. The breathtaking mountainous landscape of northwest region and exotic beauty of Halong Bay will offer extremely interesting experiences.

Detailed program

Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai by train
20.00: Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi & transfer to Hanoi railway station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train

Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat Village - Ham Rong (B, L)
Arrive in Lao Cai early morning around 06:00am, transfer by private car to Sapa (40km from Lao Cai). Enjoy breakfast before we explore the Sapa resort town founded by the French. Visit Cat Cat village, home to H’Mong ethnic people. They are excellent “tho cam” weavers (kind of brocade fabrics). “Tho cam” of Cat Cat village boasts special quality as it is dyed with natural colors, polished with beeswax and embroidered with unique designs. Cat Cat silvery jewels such as necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings are also well preferred for sophisticated techniques. A walk through this old village offers a glimpse into traditional customs and practices of the ethnic Black Hmong. Stop at a beautiful waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric plant that was built by the French during the colonial era in Vietnam. Have lunch at the local restaurant
In the afternoon, climbing Ham Rong Mount and we will be rewarded with a panoramic view over the town. Overnight at hotel in Sapa

Day 3: Sapa - Lao Chai & Ta Van - back Hanoi by train (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel. Full day tour of Sapa starting with its vibrant market and colonial houses. Descending into the Muong Hoa Valley, we reach the picturesque Lao Chai village of Black H'mong ethnic minority and Ta Van village by Dzay. Enjoy stunning views of rice terraces curving around the hillside, winding river and stream glittering in the sunshine. Picnic lunch is served
You are free until transferring to Lao Cai, en route we visit the Tra Ma village, home to Black Hmong ethnic people. Transfer by car to Lao Cai railway station for night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B,L,D)
Early morning around 05:30am, you arrive at Hanoi train station. Pick you up at the station and then transfer to mini-hotel (2star) for freshen up and have breakfast, then start a 3-hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City (180km from Hanoi). Comfort stop en route for photos and coffee before arriving to Ha Long City. We then transfer to a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While on board we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by a swim and exploring some of the limestone caves in this area. When the sun comes down we drop anchor for the night nearby a remote island. Dinner on board. Overnight on Junk

Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi (Brunch)
Rising to the tranquil beauty of the bay we have time for an early morning dip with joys and emotions for watching sunrise on sea followed by breakfast. This morning we continue to move around the bay to find more secluded areas. The junk will be near us at all times serving as a backup vessel for those that require it. At around midday we will return to the main harbor before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for a 3-hour journey back to Hanoi. Drop off at the hotel. End of services

Ham Rong mountain

Ham Rong Mountain is a small, 1800 meters mountain of  above the town of Sapa. Its bottom was turned into a public park. 


Cat Cat village

Cat Cat village is the nearest village, about 3 km from Sapa town to the south. To reach here you can ride a motorbike or like most people take a trek to have the great view down the valley.


Lao Chai and Ta Van villages

About 15 km from the center of Sapa, Lao Chai village is inhabited by Giay ethnic group at the foot of the mountain, and the Hmong tribe in the hills. The landscape spreads over your foot with a splendid beauty.


Bai Tu Long Bay Cruise

Located 200 km from Hanoi, Bai Tu Long is one of the natural wonders of the North East Vietnam where exists several endemic plants and animals that are on the verge of extinction.


Cave of Surprise

Sung Sot  (Surprise ) cave had it name from the French. It is one of three most beautiful caves in Halong bay. Located on Bo Hon island which also houses the Trinh Nu cave (Virgin cave).


Titop island

Not far from the Surprise cave, Ti Top Island offers a beautiful beach for travelers wishing to relax there and bath in its warm waters, at its top travelers will not miss a chance to catch the splendid view of Halong Bay.


Floating village

The fishing villages of Halong Bay have become popular destinations. You can contemplate beautiful scenery and take a boat trip, catch fish, shrimp and discover the daily life of these fishermen.



Tai Chi Class

The majority of vessels cruising in Halong Bay also organizes classes of Tai Chi Chuan (or Tai Chi), the art of meditation in motion. This famous Chinese gymnastics is practiced by many Vietnamese.
